What are your operating hours?
Both locations are open daily from 6 AM to 10 PM, with last wash at 9 PM. We guarantee we're staffed and running through last wash — but we won't rush you out the door. If you're cutting it close, we recommend arriving as early in the evening as possible to be sure you get a full wash-dry-fold cycle in.
Do you offer drop-off laundry services?
Yes! We offer a convenient drop-off service — leave your laundry with us and we'll take care of the washing and folding. For added convenience, try our home delivery option through the app.
Do you offer pickup & delivery?
Yes, residential pickup and delivery is available and can be booked directly through our website.
Do you offer commercial laundry services?
Yes! Potomac Laundry provides comprehensive, reliable commercial laundry services for local businesses, including pickup and delivery, professional washing, drying, and folding of linens, towels, and uniforms. Contact us to discuss your needs.
What are your prices for wash & fold?
Standard wash & fold starts at $1.50/lb, with add-on options like premium or hypoallergenic detergent, bleaching, and fabric softener available. We also handle bulky items — comforters, blankets, pillows, and rugs — at set rates. For current pricing, visit our Wash & Fold page.
Can I bring my own detergent?
Yes! Most customers bring their own. We also sell detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, bleach, and laundry bags on-site at both locations if you need anything.

What payment methods do you accept?
For Alexandria: self-service uses a prepaid card/app system (cash, credit, debit, Apple Pay, Google Pay);
Wash & Fold accepts cash, credit, debit, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
For Springfield: self-service is coin-operated with an on-site change machine and ATM available; Wash & Fold accepts the same payment types as Alexandria.
Do you have vending machines on-site?
For Alexandria: Yes, we have vending machines on-site.
For Springfield: Not currently — laundry supplies (detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, bleach, bags) are available for purchase from an attendant.
